Save Workspace

Command Reference

Saves the current workspace. If you haven't saved the workspace before, you'll need to name it.

Procedure

  1. Choose File > Save Workspace.
  2. For a workspace with name, it will be saved with its current name.

    For a workspace without name, the Save Workspace As dialog box will display.

    A Save dialog box will display if you have made some changes on maps. Refer to  Reference for Close Workspace for more information about the Save dialog box.

  3. Specify the type of workspace.
  4. Workspace for File: specify name, location, and type for the workspace, also you can set password for it.

    Workspace for SQL: type Service Name, Database Name, Username, Database Password, and specify name for the workspace.

    Workspace for Oracle: type Instance Name, Database Name, User Name, Database Password, and specify name for the workspace.

  5. Click Save.

Other ways to access Save Workspace

Note

You will be prompted if the name you typed for the workspace exists in the selected location. To avoid this, for a workspace for database, you can click List after typing Service Name, Database Name, Username, Database Password, then all names of workspace in the database will be listed in the list box.
