Command Reference

Opens an existing Datasource.

Procedure

Choose File > Open Datasource. The Open Datasource dialog box will display.
Select Datasource for File in the Datasource Type list box.
Select a file type. You can open not only a datasource file, but a datasource for database by selecting AvisMap Data Connection Files. About creating database connection file, please refer to Tool->Create Data-link File.
Specify the name and location of the datasource you want to open, also you can set alias for the datasource. Please input its password if the datasource is encrypted.
Click Open.

Choose File > Open Datasource..., and the Open Datasource dialog box will display.
Select a Datasource for Database in the Datasource Type list box.
Type Service Name, Database Name, Username and Database Password. Also you can set alias for the datasource.
Click Open.

Please input the right password if the datasource is encrypted, otherwise it will be failed to open the datasource.
If the directory of Bin of Viewer was moved to another location with pathname containing a pair of English parenthesis, for example "D:\5.0.1(tempory edition)", then it will be failed to open a workspace for Oracle.
Several kinds of datasources are provided, and please select the one that you need. Besides datasource for file, datasource for Database should connect to the spatial database.
