New Datasource
Creates a new datasource in the workspace.
Precedure
Create Datasource for SDB
- Choose File > New Datasource. The New Datasource dialog box
will display.
- Select the SDB Datasource in the Datasource Type list
box.
- Specify the name and location for the SDB datasource to be
create. Also you can set Alias, Password, and Coordinate System for
the datasource.
- Click Save.
Create Datasource for Database
- Choose File > New Datasource. The New Datasource dialog box
will display.
- Select a Datasource for Database in the Datasource Type list
box.
- Type Service Name, Database Name, Username and Database
Password. Also you can set Alias and Coordinate System for the
datasource.
- Click Save.
Other ways to access New Datasource
- New button
on the Stardard Toolbar.
- Shortcut Key: Ctrl + N.
- Click New Datasource on the Datasources shortcut menu.
Note
- In creating datasource for Oracle Spatial, you should type the
TNS (Transparent Network Substrate) name for instance name; and the
user to create the datasource should have the Connect and Resource
permissions.
