Rebuild Spatial Index
Rebuilds new spatial index for datasets to increase the
searching speed. It is allowed to batch deal with several datasets
one time.
Procedure
- Choose Dataset > Rebuild Spatial Index. The Rebuild Spatial
Index dialog box will display.
- Navigate to the datasource that contains datasets you want to
rebuild spatial index for.
- Select the dataset (s) you want to rebuild spatial index
for.
- Click OK.
If rebuilt successfully, the prompt "Rebuild spatial index of
the dataset *** successfully!" will display in the Output
Window.
Other way to access Rebuild Spatial Index
Select the dataset you want to rebuild spatial index for in the
Workspace Manager and choose Rebuild Spatial Index in the shortcut
menu. This method can only be applied to a single dataset.
Notes
- Please close the dataset before rebuilding its spatial index,
or else the system will prompt you to close it before rebuilding
spatial index.
- Please rebuild spatial index for datasets, if you encounter the
problem that some objects can not be selected when you want to edit
objects.
- In the Workspace Manager, there will be a red * at the top left
of the dataset required to rebuild spatial index.
