Import Dataset
Imports data in other formats to AvisMap format in a batch
mode.
Procedure
- Choose Dataset > Import Dataset. The Import Data dialog box
will display.
- Click the Add button or double click the list box; the Open
dialog box will display. Specify the name and location for the file
to be imported in the dialog box.
- Set parameters of the data to be imported. You can also click
the Advanced button to set advanced parameters.
- Click the Import button, then the dataset will be batch loaded.
After the operation, you can see whether you have succeeded in
importing data in the status list of the list box. The Output
Window will also show whether the data has been imported.
Notes
- When adding ArcInfo Coverage, you may just specify the folder
of the data. And you can select several folders at the same
time.
- Because it will cost more time to import a ECW file, when
adding a ECW file, a message box will pop up to suggest you to
create a new ECw file, but not import it.
- As it is not recommended to import ECW files, the ECW files
will not be listed in the Open dialog box even when you choose All
Formats in the File Type lsit box. The ECW files will only be
listed when you choose ECW File as the file type.
- Please make sure of the enough disk space if it is really
needed to display a ECW image in the map window.
