Field Index

Builds index for one or more fields of a dataset to increase query or sort speed.

Procedure

1. Choose Dataset>Field Index. Then the Field Index dialog box will be displayed.
2. Select the datasource that stores the dataset you want to build field index for in the Datasource dropdown list box.
3. Select the dataset that you want to build field index for in the Dataset dropdown list box.
4. Select the field in the list box to build index.
5. Click the Build Index button. If built successfully, the value of the Is Indexed column will change to Yes; otherwise, "Failed to build index for *** field!" will display in the Output Window.
6. If you want to delete the index that have been built, Select the field name in the list box and click the Delete Index button.
7. Click Close to close the dialog box.
