Command Reference

Converts texts in a text dataset to the field values of a dataset.

Procedure

  1. Choose Dataset > Convert > Text -> Attribute. The Text -> Attribute dialog box will display.
  2. Select the source datasource and the text dataset.
  3. Type a name for the new field in the New Field text box.

  4. If there is non-system field in the current text dataset and the field format is also text, you can import the text dataset to the field.

  5. Click OK.

Note

The length of the field must not shorter than that of the longest text (containing space), otherwise the text object whose length is greater than the field length can't be imported to the field.
