Attribute -> Text

Converts the values of a field from an attribute table into a text dataset to label the map.

Procedure

1. Choose Dataset > Convert > Attribute -> Text. The Attribute -> Text dialog box will display.
2. Select the source datasource and dataset.
3. Select the target datasource, and name the target dataset.
4. Select the field. The values of this field are used to label the map.
5. Select the field (s) to be exported to the attribute table of the generated text dataset.
6. Click OK.

Notes

• This operation can label the map.
• The position of the texts in the text dataset is determined by its corresponding object's inner point.
• The attribute table can only be that of a point dataset, a line dataset, a region dataset, a text dataset or a network dataset.
