Command Reference

Decompounds a CAD dataset into several GIS datasets containing objects of the same type.

Procedure

  1. Choose Dataset > Convert > CAD -> GIS. The CAD ->GIS dialog box will display.
  2. Select the source dataset you want to decompound in the Source Data area.
  3. Select target datasource in the Target Data area.
  4. Type the names for the GIS datasets to be created.
  5. Click OK.

The system will create the GIS datasets according to what your selected in the Target Data area. If there is no object of the specified type in the source dataset, the corresponding GIS dataset has no objects too.
