Command

Raster Composite

Command Reference

Creates a single raster dataset of multiple bands from multiple single-band raster datasets.

Procedure

  1. Choose Dataset > Compound Color Image. The Display three Rasters as a Composite RGB Image dialog box will display.
  2. Select the datasource and dataset as the red band image in the Red area.
  3. Select the datasource and dataset as the green band image in the Green area.
  4. Select the datasource and dataset as the blue band image in the Blue area.
  5. Select datasource for the RGB composite.
  6. Type a name for the RGB composite.
  7. Click OK.

It mainly applies to compound single-band remote sensing images (moonlet image, airphoto, etc.) which cover the same spatial extent, but are shot at different time into a three-band composite. It can also be used to revert to the compounded image after it decompounding to single-band images.

Note

The three datasets must be 256 colors raster datasets that cover the same spatial extent.

Precondition

There are 256 colors raster datasets in the open datasource.
