Append Columns to Dataset

Appends the fields from the source dataset to the target dataset which contains the same fields with the source dataset, and the appended fields are what are not contained in the target dataset.

Procedure

1. Choose Dataset > Append Columns to Dataset. The Append Columns to Dataset dialog box will display.
2. Select the target datasource and dataset which you want to append fields to.
3. Select the datasource and dataset that provides data in the Dataset to be Appended area.
4. Select a related field to connect the two dataset.
5. Click OK.

Note

The source dataset must contain the fields which are not contained in the target dataset, or else the operation will fail.

Precondition

The attribute tables of the two datasets must have at least one related field to connect them, and the field values of the related field must be identical.
