Introduction to Workspace Manager

Workspace manager lies at the left-top of the environment with the function to manage datasouces, datasets, maps, 3D scenes, layouts and resources in a workspace file. It is an assistant tool for users with plenty of shortcut operations such as open, close, and save workspace file. It consists of five parts: Datasources, Maps, 3D Scenes, Layouts, and Resources.

Datasources

Manages/displays datasources and datasets in the workspace. You can implement many operations quickly by the shortcut menus such as create, open, close a datasource, rearrange datasources or datasets, and also you can browse the properties of a datasource or dataset.

Maps

Stores/displays the created maps.

3D Scenes

Stores/displays the created 3D scenes.

Layouts

Manages layouts for map printing.

Resources

Displays the symbol library, line library, and fill library in current workspace file.

In Workspace Manager, you can implement a lot of basic operations by shortcut menus such as create a new datasource, copy, delete a dataset, create a new map window, create a new 3D window, create a new layout window and so on; and also you can edit the symbol library, line library, and fill library here.
