Datasource is a set of datasets of different types such as point, line, region, TIN, GRID and NetWork. A datasource can not only store datasets of different types, but also can store vector dataset and raster dataset at the same time. Its storing format is a file/database mixture format, which includes two files, SDB file and SDD file. The SDB file stores spatial data and the SDD file stores attribute data which can be opened in Access software.
Many types of datasource are provided in AvisMap: datasource for file, datasource for SQL, datasource for SQL+, datasource for Oracle, and datasource for Oracle Spatial, in which datasource for file is a datasource in file type while the others are datasource in database type. You can select one as you need.
