Customize
Opens the Customize dialog box to modify existing menus,
toolbars, and context menus with simple drag-and-drop techniques or
create your own menus, toolbars, and context menus.
Procedure
Choose View > Toolbar > Customize. The Customize dialog
box will display.
Command tab
Browses the
explanations of all menus in the system, or creates new menus and
adds menus to reflect your own preferences and the way you work.
View the explanation of the menu:
- Select the main menu in the Categories list, then all of its
submenus will display in the Commands list; or select All Commands,
then all of the menus of the system will display in the Commands
list.
- Select the menu that you want to view in the Commands list,
then the brief explanation of the menu will display in the
Description edit box.
Create new menu:
- Select New Menu in the Categories list, then the New Menu will
display in the Command list.
- Drag the New Menu in the Command list to some place of the
system menu bar, then a menu named New Menu will be added to the
system menu bar.
- Select Button Appearance in the New Menu (the Customize dialog
box is still open) shortcut menu, the Button Appearance dialog box
will display.
- Rename the new menu in the Text Bar, and click OK.
- Drag the menus which you need from the Commands list to the New
Menu to add submenus for it.
Toolbars tab
Sets the status
(display/hidden) of each system toolbar, or creates custom toolbars
and add buttons to reflect your own preferences and the way you
work.
Display/Hide toolbar:
Check/Uncheck the check box before the relevant toolbar, then
the toolbar will be displayed/hidden.
Create new toolbar:
- Click the New button, the Toolbar Name dialog box will
display.
- Type a name for the new toolbar and click OK, then a toolbar
will display in the Application Environment.
- Click the Rename button to rename the new toolbar, or click the
Delete button to delete the new toolbar.
- Drag the buttons which you need to the new toolbar (the
Customize dialog box is still open) to add buttons to the new
toolbar.
Keyboard tab
Resets the keyboard
shortcut keys for each menu.
- Select the main menu in the Categories list, then all of its
submenus will display in the Commands list; or select all commands,
then all of the menus of the system will display in the Commands
list.
- Select the menu that you want to reset a shortcut for in the
Commands list.
- Press the shortcut key in the Press New Shortcut text box.
- Click the Assign button, the new shortcut key will be added to
the Current list.
- Use the Remove button to delete the shortcut that you don't
need, or use the Reset All button to return to the default
settings.
Menu tab
Sets frame menus for
the system, or sets the display style of menus.
- Select the menu you want to display in the current window in
the Show Menus dropdown list.
- Click the Reset button.
- Select the display animation in the Menu dropdown list. Two
styles including "fade" and "slide" are provide, also you can
select none, that is, no animation.
- Select whether to use shadow to display menus.
The animation and shadow style will work right after
settings.
Options tab
Sets the display
style of toolbars, or sets the display status of the prompts of
toolbars.
- Select whether to show prompts of toolbars.
- Select whether to show shortcut keys together with the prompts
of toolbars.
- Select whether to use large icon to display the icons on
toolbars.
All settings will work immediately after the
selection.
Click the Close button to close the dialog box.
