Create Database Connection File

Command Reference

Makes a file that will be used to link to a datasource for database for conveniently opening the datasource for database again.

Procedure

  1. Choose Tools>Create Database Connection File. Then the Create Database Connection File dialog box will display.
  2. Select a Datasource for Database to be linked to in the left list box.
  3. Type Service Name, Database Name, Username and Database Password.
  4. Click the Test Connection button. If connected successfully, a prompt "Open the datasource successfully!" will pop up, otherwise "Fail to open the datasoure" will pop up.
  5. Type directly or click the button next to the edit box to select the full path and name to save the database connection file.
  6. Select whether to save the password.
  7. Click OK.
