Copy Dataset
Copies datasets from one datasource to another one in a batch
mode.
Procedure
- Choose Dataset > Copy Dataset. The Copy Dataset dialog box
will display.
- Choose the source datasource and the target datasource.
- Select the source datasets you want to copy in the Source
Dataset list of the list box. In the Target Dataset list, the
default name of the target dataset is the same one as that of the
source dataset; you can click the cell to rename it.
- Select the Enconding Mode for the dataset.
- Click OK.
Other ways to access Copy Dataset
- Select the datasets you want to copy in the Workspace Manage Window and use shortcut menu
Copy, Paste.
- Select the dataset you want to copy in the Workspace Manager; select Copy To shortcut menu
and the Save As Dataset dialog box will display. Select the target
datasource and type a name for the target dataset, then click OK.
This method can only be applied to copying a single dataset.
- Select the dataset you want to copy in Workspace Manager and
drag it to the target datasource. This method can only be applied
to copying a single dataset.

Not applies to ECW
dataset and MrSid dataset currently.

Not applies to the
route dataset, 3D point dataset and 3D line dataset that is
contained in datasource for SQL currently.
- All datasets that are supported by this command in the source
datasource are listed in the Copy Dataset dialog box; but only the
selected ones can be copied to the target datasource.
Precondition
There is at least one dataset in the
current workspace.
