Append Raster Dataset

Update contents of some area in a raster dataset with those of another raster dataset.

Procedure

1. Choose Dataset>Append Raster Dataset. Then the Append Raster Dataset dialog box will display.
2. Select the datasource that stores the dataset to be appended to by another raster dataset in the Target area.
3. Select the dataset to be appended to by another one in the selected datasource.
4. Check the File checkbox and select an image file to be append to the target raster dataset; or check the Dataset checkbox and select a source dataset to append to the target raster dataset.
5. Click OK.

Notes

• The resolution of the source dataset must be the same with that of the target dataset.
• The purpose of this function is to update contents of some area in the target dataset with those of the relevant area in the source data.
• If you have selected From File in the Source From area, only three types of file including JPG, TIF and BMP are supported. For TIF file, you can use it directly as it also stores the coordinates information; but for JPG and BMP file, you also need a TWF file which stores the coordinates of the image, and the TWF file will be saved in the same directory with its image file.
